Friday, February 8: Opening Night Concert At Rio American High School PAC

6:30 PM – Doors open
7:00 PM – From Rio Americano High School, the Bop Patrol
7:30 PM – All-Star Clinicians Concert featuring:

Jim Cullum, guest trumpet
Chloe Feoranzo clarinet/ sax
Rex Allen, trombone
Bill Dendle, banjo/ guitar
Jason Wanner, piano
Katie Cavera, bass/ vocals
Ron Jones, drums

Saturday, February 9: Festival.  All events take place in Capistrano Hall @ Sac State within the Capistrano Concert Hall, Rom 143, and Rom 151.

8:00 AM - Band Performances begin

11:00 AM
- Performance Break for New Orleans-Style Brass Band Parade.
All instruments welcome.  Meet outside of atrium.  Parade terminates in Room 143 at 11:30am

11:30 AM - LUNCH BREAK:  JAZZ ‘N’ PIZZA JAM in Room 143
Hosted by the All-Star Clinicians Band.  Band Directors and students invited to play.  Complimentary pizza meals + beverages for band directors and student musicians.

12:30 PM - Band Performances/ Feedback Clinics Resume

2:45 PM - JAZZ WORKSHOP by Jim Cullum in Capistrano Hall

3:45 PM - Band Performances/ Feedback Clinics Resume

5:15 PM - Announcement of Encore Bands and Showcase in
Capistrano Concert Hall.
Featuring encore performances by some of the outstanding festival bands:
5:15pm:  Elementary School
5:30pm:  Middle School
5:45pm:  High School (Private/Club)
6:00pm:  High School
6:15pm:  College

5:15PM Award Presentations between Encore Bands 
Individual Merit Awards in each performance division; Music Lesson Awards; Teagarden Jazz Camp Scholarships; High School & College Scholarships

Note:  All events require a wristband for entrance.

Instrument Storage Room (Room 143 Loft) Hours:  7:00am - 5:15pm.

Sunday, February 10th:  Mardi Gras Jazz Brunch featuring Jim Cullum and the All-Star Festival Clinicians plus award-winning youth bands

8:30 AM - 11:00AM - All-You-Can-Eat Brunch.
11:00AM - 3:00PM - Large dance floor
